While all are paying attentions to Nokia, Samsung, Apple, Sony and HTC shows for Q4 of 2013, Alcatel is quietly came back armed with new devices. After months of success with the once world’s thinnest smartphone– Idol Ultra, the French-based company finally added two new Idols in their One Touch catalogue — Idol S and Idol Mini. I understand that Alcatel wants bit of attentions from crowd too so why they announced new products before others’ September exclusive events and expos. I’m sure everyone is interested especially the Filipinos.
Alcatel One Touch Idol S
You kind of found-out that the Idol S is just like its older kuya OT Idol. They have shared same DNAs but only difference is that Idol S is clocked at 1.2 GHz dual-core processors over-taking the Idol’s 1 GHz dual-core speed.

The OT Mini is 4.3″ version of the Idol. An entry-level smartphone equipped with slightly higher 1.3 GHz dual-core processors but limited RAM up to 512mb only. There’s 5 megapixels camera with auto-focus and LED Flash. For video calls a VGA camera is dedicated as a front-facer.
